The last date for registration for the third batch of the one-year Certificate Programme in Management offered by Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJSOM), IIT Bombay is 23 rd September, 2006. The programme conducted under the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) offers a dual specialization in Marketing and Managing People. It will be conducted on alternate weekends at Mumbai and New Delhi from October 2006 to June 2007.

The programme coordinated by Professor S. Bhargava and Professor Sanjaya S.Gaur, faculty, SJSOM , has been designed to provide young working professionals exposure to conceptual and practical aspects of marketing and people management, enabling them to meet the manpower training and knowledge up gradation needs of the industry.

The programme is aimed at professionals interested in building their careers and

businesses by acquiring superior competency in the area of management as well as executives with experience, graduates working in government and private organizations, entrepreneurs and managers of family managed businesses.

The programme fee in Mumbai is Rs 69,000 while in New Delhi it is Rs 78000. The batch size will be around 25 students each in both the cities and the candidates should be graduates along with relevant work experience of around three years.

In 2003-2004, the first batch of the Certificate Programme in Marketing Management graduated at New Delhi. The programme consisted of participants from both government as well as private sector organizations.

Important Instructions about the Certificate Programme Medium of instruction is English. The programme is non-residential. Total fee is to be paid in advance. There is no provision for installments. The tuition fee is non refundable. Registration fees are non transferable except for company-sponsored candidates.
