Dr. Kumar has previously taught at Columbia University, Harvard Business School, IMD (Switzerland), and Northwestern University. His experience includes working with 50 Fortune 500 companies (e.g., Akzo-Nobel, IBM, Sara Lee) in 45 different countries as coach, consultant, seminar leader and speaker on strategy, marketing, branding, retailing and distribution. He has served on the board of directors of Bata India and Zensar Technologies too.
A prolific case writer, Dr Kumar has authored more than 35 cases and teaching notes including Amazon, Red Bull, Zara, and Wal-Mart. His cases easyJet and Medi-Cult have won three BusinessWeek/ECCH adoption awards.
Professor Kumar has won several teaching honours, like being recognised with Business Week's highest four-star faculty rating in their 1993 guide to MBA programs . He has made more than 100 press appearances including BBC, Business Week, CNBC, CNN, Financial Times, International Herald Tribune, and Wall Street Journal. |
